Bear Sculpture - 1999
This bear was commissioned by the Bridgewater State college and mounted on a raised area in front of the athletics department. For me, it was a further study of using many loose pieces to create a realistic form. The shag fur was created over two months using a Plasma Torch and a TIG welder. The school’s mascot, now done in bronze, is the symbol of strength.
