BEAR

With each project comes a new opportunity to discover ways to create textures and styles. When this bear came together, it was important to build volume with the surface. Using twisted shards of metal, we created a fur texture with depth, flowing the shards left or right, giving movement.

It’s always interesting to me how subtle changes in shapes and curves make such a difference. It’s like brush strokes with metal to me. I would say he’s realistic in a creative way, a pleasure to see come together for the collectors, two alumni of Cornell University.
