This sculpture offered me a rare opportunity to explore the complexity of human anatomy through my work. Shaping Mermaid Narissa began with hammering metal over hand-carved wooden forms, a process that I have been developing during my time as a sculptor. With Mermaid Narissa, I pushed myself to create a more refined form, striving for a sense of timeless, almost classical beauty.

Narissa embodies the harmony between strength and softness, metal and motion — a celebration of the human form capturing the fluid grace and mystique of the sea.
